The period of the Republic of China is a period of transition Chinese calligraphyeducation history, played a role of linking. At that time, the traditional mode of education and teaching, and theexistence of "Western learning" school calligraphy education, two is the interactionbetween the period of the Republic of China calligraphy society, promotion ofcalligraphy on calligraphy education plays an important role in promoting. Throughthe detailed research on the history of calligraphy education in this period, tounderstand the change of educational system, under the influence of "Westernlearning spreading to the East” school calligraphy education’s gestation anddevelopment and traditional apprenticeship teaching calligraphy education at the timeof the development of. The traditional calligraphy education culture calligraphersand calligraphy talent, has become the main force in the modern higher education ofcalligraphy, is the solid practitioners and promoters. The ways and means ofeducation of the Republic of China in the form of calligraphy education, has the vitalsignificance to the construction of Modern High Calligraphy Education system.This paper is divided into four chapters, the first chapter briefly describesthe period of the Republic of China educational background and status. In the secondchapter, three types of education to the period of Republic of China is the traditionalcalligraphy education, calligraphy education in school and Calligraphy Society ofcarding, the traditional calligraphy education includes education and schools inheritthe two aspects of school education, including education in two aspects ofcalligraphy school education and higher. In the third chapter of this three types ofeducation the main objectives and implementation method in details. The fourthchapter elaborates the significance of calligraphy education.
