Chinese prepositions have always been the learning emphases and difficulties for second language learners. Among students whose mother languages belong to Indo-European languages, the Russian overseas students use Chinese prepositions most frequently. Russian and Chinese prepositions which express spatial relations are similar in grammar and syntax., but there are also differences between them. The differences give learners whose native languages are Russian negative transfer. This essay lies in Russian and Chinese teaching, and compares the spatial prepositions in Russian and Chinese. The essay reveals the similarities and differences through contrasting, and finally summarizes the Russian overseas students’typical bias in learning spatial prepositions. It also classifies and analyzes the bias, and raises teaching proposals and teaching strategies aiming overseas students whose mother languages are Russian so as to help them improve learning efficiency. This essay can also help Russian teachers who are working on Chinese teaching. |
