This thesis consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion altogether five parts。The first part is the introduction, which describes the Research results of Jian Deng Xin Hua and Liao Zhai Zhi Yi.But there is only a word or two type, without systematic study about a comparative study of the two novels. In addition, the introduction includes the topics of significance and research methodsAs the writers of Jian Deng Xin Hua and Lliao Zhai Zhi Yi, also it comes to conclusion which is very similar of the two writers’life experience and the pursuit of writing. They came through the war,they love life won’t be smooth sailing, they are very talented, but political career is not smooth. They write their own experience in the novels, but the reports differ only in degree. They expressed be frustrated for all one’s talent, on social discontent. At the same time, they promoted the spirit of praising virtue and punishing vice. They also wrote novels for pleasure.In addition to the two writers’ life experience and the pursuit of writing,Lliao Zhai Zhi Yi s very much underthe influence of Jian Deng Xin Hua. The influence includes not only the subject matter, but also the stylistic features and technique of expression. On the subject matter, the expression of influence is material structure, narrative skills and person’s agenda. On the stylistic features,the expression of influence is the legendary method and to the mystery. Finally, Jian Deng Xin Hua paied attention to the simple and graceful language, the poetics of people and the poetic quality or flavour as the same as Lliao Zhai Zhi Yi. Fact and fiction are intermingled throughout the two books. In addition, the former influenced the latter.Jian Deng Xin Hua had a great influence on Liao Zhai Zhi Yi, but Liao Zhai Zhi Yi outdid Jian Deng Xin Hua in creative achievement which comprises writing skills and mental state. The writing language is very plentiful and personality in Liao Zhai Zhi Yi. It combine the classical language and spoken language, folk adage perfectly. Liao Zhai Zhi Yi is ahead of Jian Deng Xin Hua in writing language. The mental state of Liao Zhai Zhi Yi is ahead of Jian Deng Xin Hua in love story and critical realism, not only breath but also the deepness. Pu Songling took love of the spirit more seriously than Qu You.After the comparison of Jian Deng Xin Hua and Liao Zhai Zhi Yi.Jian Deng Xin Hua has geat influence on classical Chinese novels of Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty. Then from the effects of perspective, Jian Deng Xin Hua is very important in the history of on classical Chinese novels.
