The development of Confucianism has experienced “the time of Five-Classics” and “thetimes of Four Books”. In contrast, the two times have very different.“Five-Classics” has beenable to dominant thoughts and academic, to a large extent, thanks to the official support, is atop-down system of thought; and while the “Four Books” is habitat to challenge authority, tochallenge the traditional position, by an individual or a number of academic institutions topromote. This difference also decided to the development of “four-books” is by no means easy.Four Books and Science are two different concepts, but also there is a certain association.Since the Song Dynasty, Confucianism face the dilemma of development, Confucians are basedon “university”,“The Analects”,“moderate”,“Mencius” as classic texts, play reading, constructa system of jurisprudence. When to Zhu Xi, the culmination of Science, the “Four-books” andcollectively the four into one, marking the formal establishment of “four-books” to learn thesystem. After, Mongolia Central Executive tripod to grasslands ruled China, and “Four-books” tolearn in this context, is constantly evolving, universal, and ultimately made the officialdominance. Among them, XuHeng plays an important role.In this paper,“Four Books” of XuHeng as the object of study is divided into four parts.The first part describes the life of XuHeng and the background of his “Four Books”. Thispaper argues that the formation of XuHeng “Four Books” thinking is a process, which hasexperienced a number of academic change. Life experiences and the times fit XuHeng.“FourBooks” of his thought, influenced by his life and the background. The second, third and fourthpart is the main content of the paper. Thought “Four Books” and its “Four Books” ideologicalcharacteristics and value to analyze XuHeng’s “Four Books” ideology. the second partsummarizes XuHeng “Four-books” writings. XuHeng highlighted the importance of “university”,“moderate”. the third part, Cosmic View, Mind Theory and Cultivation Theory from theperspective specifically elaborated XuHeng “four Books” ideology. Section IV summarizes andanalyzes the characteristics and value of XuHeng "Four Books".Concludes the paper we consider: XuHeng is an outstanding thinker of the thirteenthcentury. He was born in troubled times, numerously-way street, first learning Chapters of theschool, and later worshiped Neo-Confucianism, but four books a keen interest in science,"as ateacher to Zhu’s words" to spread the popularity of four books to learn responsibility, and thisprocess formed its own ideology four Books. XuHeng’s "Four Books" thought both inheritanceand development of Neo "Four Books" ideology, but also in their practical research-basedinnovation, has its own unique values and characteristics, in short, XuHeng Four Books of theFour Books important part of the history of the development, has made the prominent contribution to the development of learning in the yuan dynasty.
