"Psychological Distance" has been widely used in aesthetics and literary theory and become a fundamental concept, it had caused a huge impact in the history of aesthetics. In China, the "Psychological Distance" recognized by scholars mainly due to the introduction of Zhu Guangqian. By the theory of "critical integrated", he developed it into the extent of which that (Bullock) could not have foreseen. However, in the current context of history and culture, the "psychological distance" has become somewhat out of tune with the actual situation. With the development of social life, aesthetic attitude was introduced in real life, the public daily life is filled with more and more artistic quality, the opposition between art and life gradually disappear, and the differences become narrow, our daily itself is the side of beauty, the role of "psychological distance" will be excluded; In commodity society, art production is included among certain sectors of the economy, aesthetic and artistic activities move away from the field of "non-utilitarian" and become a utilitarian, purposeful existence, the philosophical basis of "Psychological distance" will be lost; People advocating rational and pursuit pleasure, pleasure no longer seek to enhance the beauty, the process of "Psychological distance" also missing. In a sense, the contemporary aesthetic culture even refused the participation of "psychological distance".This article mainly around the "Psychological distance", follows the clue of "accept and use, play and beyond", examine this issue in the process of unifying history and logic, using the results of Zhu Guangqian’s acceptance, revisit this modern aesthetic proposition under the vision of contemporary aesthetic culture, and then explore its value to the future artistic activities. We believe that in the current context of new historical and cultural, re-emphasizing the "psychological distance", stressing "non-utilitarian aesthetic", does not match the reality of aesthetic culture, but also runs counter to the direction of contemporary aesthetic culture, but it does not mean that we deny the "psychological distance".The "psychological distance" was summarized from the "bottom-up" aesthetic experience, summed up some facts from the general characteristics of aesthetic experience, it is in line with the actual aesthetic activity. Even though the "Psychological distance" could not be seemed as an artistic aesthetic principles and common elements, but it can play a positive role in uniting the elements of technological content and humanities content, economic and cultural benefits, the ideal of best "psychological distance" should still be present for the held of aesthetic and cultural development. Reasonable to adjust the distance between art and daily life, use "psychological distance" to regulate the tension of aesthetic experience that will truly enrich people’s daily life, help people to achieve self-transcendence, to achieve the ideal of Life Art", and provide a realistic possibility for mankind "poetically".
