Research On Hu Ru - Lei 's Historiography

Hu Rulei is a20th century Chinese famous historian and expert who devote to Sui and Tang dynasties history research. He has a lot of contributions in Chinese feudal society, Economic history, Political history, the peasant war and history theory study, etc. His research field is wide and also has a profound theoretical accomplishment. So far, however, academia has not overall system for his historical achievements and shortcomings. This paper is entitled combed his research results and synthesized his historical achievements.This paper is consists of the introduction, five chapters and conclusion.The introduction has two parts:the dominant narrative topic survey and study on the meaning of this article.The chapter I focuses on Hu Rulei’s lifetime and academic career. There are two parts, First part briefly describes the life of Hu Rulei, second part is about his academic research career and the last summarizes some of his characteristics of academic research.The chapter II focuses on Hu Rulei in Chinese feudal society research contributions. Analysis of the writings of his Chinese feudal society research, explained the main contents, characteristics and weaknesses of the book, and then summarizes the controversy caused in academia about this book.The chapter III and the fourth chapter are discusses Hu Rulei’s achievements in Sui, Tang and the Five dynasties history research. Chapter Ⅲ has two parts, the first part is about Hu Rulei’s study on history of Sui, Tang and Five dynasties economy; the second part is Hu Rulei’s study in the Sui and Tang and Five dynasties history research. The fourth chapter consists of three parts, the first part is Hu Rulei study on history of Sui, Tang and Five dynasties and political; the second part is the Hu Rulei’s macro system to explore the history of Sui, Tang and Five dynasties; and the third part is a summary of the above two chapters and generalization.The fifth chapter summarizes the thunderous theory to historical research. There are five sections, including Hu Rulei’s explored aspects of Marxist theory and practice, highlighting a new Socialist history moral, advocating "Think, glance left and right" methods of historical research, intrinsic class analysis as well as the study of history to be based upon a solid foundation, and so on.The conclusion part, summary the full text, pointed out Hu Rulei’s research achievements and methods in the historical research has a lot of worth that we can inherited and carry forward; we should be realistic and objective analysis errors and fails; for academic contending, scholars can holding different opinion, in common communication and discussion to promote the development of the academic research; and his scholarship rigorous, tirelessly, innovation of academic spirit, is worth permanently uphold and cherish.
