A Research On Epidemic And Society Of The Tang And Five Dynasties

In the history of ancient China, epidemic disaster, a top disaster of human society, results from the massive prevalence of acute infectious diseases, mainly caused the numerous population to die and emigrate, threatens directly human health safety and life security. In the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties, epidemic brought many non-neglectable problems of this period and had close relations with many factors of society.Based on the examination of essential factor of epidemic , such as the infection source, the dissemination path and easy feeling crowds,the article analyzed the causality of natural environment and climatic condition on macroscopic; On microscopic, the essay examined emphatically in some social factors which has close correlation with epidemic's occurrence, such as the chaos caused by war, environment, medical level and so on , revealing the role which plague played in the social vicissitude during this historical periods.This research entering into various science domains, such as history,medicine, sociology and environment hygienic, I did extensively research for the pestilence occurred during Tang and Five Dynasties and situation of that days. Bringing the study on the epidemic into socio-history research of Tang and Five Dynasties embodied the fresh angle of view, and also deepens and extends the research fields of life history, as well as medical treatment history and disasters history.
