Shandong And The Northern Wei Dynasty

This paper mainly discusses the activity of Shan Dong people, their political orientation and the relationship with the Western Wei and Northern Zhou Dynasties. Shan Dong people moved to Guan Zhong area twice on a large scale. One was at the call of Yuwen Tai with the help of Yuan Wei Zhengshuo, attracting a lot of Shandong people. The other one is during the course of eliminating Qi, and many Shandong people were forced to move to Guan Zhong. The two batches of Shan Dong people had much influence on the Western Wei and Northern Zhou Dynasties. They played an important role not only in letting the Guanlong group join Yuwen Tai, but also in the regime change from the Zhou Dynasty to the Sui dynasty. Actually, at the Western Wei, the Northern Zhou and the early Sui times, Shan Dong people involved in lots of political events.The body consists of four parts. The first part mainly explores the western migration of many Shan Dong people triggered by the Emperor Xiao Wu who finally join the Guanlong group and caused the separation of the Wei Dynasty. Yuwen Tai wanted to attract Shandong people,dealing with the relationship with Yuan Wei positively. After the death of Yuwen Tai, Yuwen Hu helped Yuwen Jue to achive the throne, and founded the Zhou Dynasty. In the process, many Shandong people positively changed their relationship with Guanlong people,and finally integrated into them, to get higher political position.The second one is devoted to the netting policies by the Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou to the Northern Qi Shan Dong people in the process of perishing the Northern Qi Dynasty, and the attitude of them to the Northern Zhou.The third one discusses the change of the policy of handling the Northern Qi Shan Dong people after the collapse of the Northern Qi by the Northern Zhou and the feelings, the encounter of the Northern Qi Shan Dong people after the ruin of the Northern Qi.The fourth one centers on the activity of Shan Dong people both before and after Yang Jian seizing the power, and divides them into two parts with the reason of supporting Yang Jian or not. Not only we analyse the reason of supporting Yang Jian or not,but also do we discuss the function Shandong people in the process.
