Collation And Research Of Statue Inscription Of Eastern Wei,Western Wei,Northern Qi And Northern Zhou Dynasties

Statue inscription is a kind of stone carving literature which integrates the value of history,literature,art and religion."Sculpture" is the object that the image creator believes in.The sculpture record is the text that records the imagery activity,and generally includes the inscription and autographs.Ancient Chinese statues can be traced back to the time of the Han Dynasty.With the spread of Buddhism,the activities of domestic Buddhist statues came into being,and then combined with the local religion,Taoist statues appeared.Throughout the history of the development of statue inscription,the Northern Dynasty was the most prosperous period.From the emperor and aristocrats to the people,the custom of statue inscription was popular with them.However,the collation of iconography has not been taken seriously for a long time.Before the Qianjia period of the Qing Dynasty,scholars of epigraphy focused on the artistic value of calligraphy.Different from the Confucian idea of cultivating one's moral integrity and ruling the country and balancing the world,Buddhism pays attention to cultivation and reincarnation,and the statues are mostly folk belief activities,so they are despised by Confucian scholars.Even after the reign of emperor Qianjia,the compilation and research of the statues are not as hot as the bronzes,inscriptions,epitaphs and other gold and stone materials.There are two major problems in the collation of the records of statues in the Northern Dynasties,especially in the Eastern Wei,Western Wei,Northern Qi and Northern Zhou dynasties.One is that the number of the records is not comprehensive,not all of them are included;the other is that the bibliography is not systematic,not all of them are marked with the relevant information of the study of the records of statues.In view of this,this paper systematically collects and arranges the portraits of the Eastern Wei,Western Wei,Northern Qi and Northern Zhou dynasties,and tries to solve the above problems.The introduction part of this paper introduces the research category and the significance of the topic,focusing on the analysis of the existing problems in the collation of the current image making records.The thesis is divided into two parts.The first part describes the origin of the description of the statues in the Eastern Wei,Western Wei,Northern Qi and Northern Zhou dynasties.This paper discusses from four aspects: Catalogue description,plate description,explanation description and preface and postscript description.On the basis of predecessors,the second part makes a comprehensive arrangement of the records of statues found in the handed down documents and unearthed documents,and compiles the index of the records of statues,which is divided into five parts: the Eastern Wei,the Western Wei,the Northern Qi,the Northern Zhou and no chronicle of the Northern Dynasty.
