A Study On The Present Situation Of Contemporary Art Collection In Domestic Public Art Museum

After the mid-1980s, it is rise of establishing public museum of arts in domestic china. Thepublic museum becomes increasingly rich in terms of social service function after years’development. But unfortunately, the public museum which displays according to history of artshas not appeared in china. Domestic contemporary art collection is still in its infancy; theshort of contemporary art collection is caused by choice of art collection except the plentyof high-quality goods go abroad. Concerned about the art collection of domestic public museumis a must of study and research of the contemporary art. This article will analyze the situationof arts collection base on the statistics from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places’public art museums. And the article attempts to explore the rationality of contemporary artcollection, in order to come to the relevant theoretical solutions and constructive suggestions,and preserve own rational conceptions of contemporary art at the same time.
