Uli Sigg is currently one of the most important collectors of contemporary Chinese art.He has participated in and witnessed the development of contemporary Chinese art since China has adopted its reform and open-door policy. He initiated the Chinese Contemporary Art Award which has influenced the system of contemporary Chinese art.He donated most of his collection to Hong Kong M+ Museum of Visual Culture in 2012.Due to the lack of the systematic research upon the Sigg Collection from the academic perspective of art management, this case study is undertaken mainly based on the interviews which I have deeply involved in the process to produce his documentary. In this Paper,Uli Sigg's background,Uli Sigg 's typology of collecting, the contemporary Chinese art exhibitions from the Sigg Collection, the Chinese Contemporary Art Award and the Hong Kong M + Museum of Visual Culture are analyzed to explore further the value and significance of the Sigg collection and its relationship with Art Museums.
