Yong Xing is a master of calligraphy in mid-Qing Dynasty, who possesses doubleidentities of both royalty and litterateur. This article has settled the artisticfeatures and themes, analyzed resources and change in style in the three stages ofYong Xing calligraphy and expressed highly of the tablet of Tang Dynasty, lookedino the change of calligraphy from post to tablet, and reevaluated the special statusand contribution of Yong Xing in the Tablet Advocating Movement as well as theimportant role he played as the connection link in royal calligraphy, thereoutsummarizing the important role interaction of royalty and littereur plays in culturalinheritance and the limitation of royal calligraphy.
