A Study On The Folk Custom Of The Sacrifice To The City

As an important part of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, folk belief and its related folk custom activities have a long history in our country. With the development of cultural diversity, the folk belief activities rise again, and which has increasingly become the important content of social people’s spiritual life.In the northern part of Hu Xian County, the folk custom activities of greeting the City God is based on its unique geographical environment and culture. Under the influence of the objective natural environment and people’s subjective factors and government policy guidance, there was developed a unique form of the worship to the City God. This unique worship of the City God has its unique form of worship, its unique group of sacrifice-three mutually independent and contact communities, its own development process, and has its unique folk custom content, and this series of activities has its inheritance of the unique internal rules, and the basic characteristics of its own. Based on these characteristics, the folk custom has the multi-level and multi-dimensional value. The full text is divided into the following several parts:The first chapter briefly introduces the selected reasons, the present researches, the methods and the significance of this essay.The second chapter summarizes the origin and development of the worship of the City God.The third chapter discusses the origin of worship of the City God firstly, and then analyses the reasons for the worship of the City God in this area, and finally systematically introduces the development of Hu Xian folk custom of the City God in different periods.The fourth chapter briefly expounds the main content about the folk custom activities of greeting the City God in Hu Xian County, and probes into some basic features about this folk custom in this area.The fifth chapter talks about some reasons and suggestions of cultural inheritance and protection about the folk custom activities of greeting the City God in Hu Xian County.
