| This dissertation use the theory of semi-analysis provided by Julia Kristeva analyses the official discourse in Chinese new-official-novel which emerged at1990s. This dissertation analyses the interaction of subjective impulsion and discourse restriction within the official discourse, in order to reveal its text generative model, and find the cultural reason of the special generative rule.The theory of semi-analysis is a research method combined of semiology and psychoanalysis, which is proposed by the French theorist Julia Kristeva. This theory induces the subjective factors and diachronic factors into the study of semiology, and pay its attention to the generative process of the semiotic meanings. The theory of semi-analysis concerns the interaction between the subjective impulsion and social-cultural restriction in the mental world of the speech subject, and achieve the goal of understanding the dynamic meaning-generative process.Semi-analysis theory takes the interaction between subjective impulsion and social-cultural restriction as its spirit core. Its theoric system is constituted by the heterogeneity of subjects, existence station of semiotics and texts.,which describe the process of meaning generation from chaos to order. In the theoric level, this theory have an important value of guiding the study of text generation and interpretation; in the practical level, this theory provide us a new theoretical perspective and thinking pathway for discourse analysis.This dissertation use the semi-analysis theory to study the official discourse in new official novels. we defined official discourse as texts which help subjects getting, holding and applying public power. Using the semi-analysis theory, we regard the official discourse as the production of interaction between subjective impulsion and social-cultural restriction. On the basis of this clue, we observe the overall process of semiotic meaning generation. In the concrete research, we summarize22discourse restriction existed in novel-official-discourse texts, and generalizes5interactive patterns. We investigate the intensity of each restriction item, obtain an official discourse restriction system. On the basis of this survey, we conclude the special generative process in novel-official discourse,which are divided into7steps according to the notion of semi-analysis theory. Besides, we also make some concrete study of the language feature of the novel-official discourse. At last, we find the social-cultural reasons for this special generative process in novel-official discourse, describing the perspective of Chinese contemporary official culture reflected and constructed by novel-official discourse:Chinese official culture consisted of2levels of cultural components, the surface level centered the value of priority of people’s benefits, it governs several political concepts of the mainstream ideology, as well as institutional and ethical discourse restrictions. The deep level centered the value of the pursue for power and benefits for oneself, which governed several invisible cultural concepts and restrictions. These2structures combined as a whole, which seemed in harmony but actually contradicted to each other, The deep level of culture is the real core of Chinese official culture, however it never expressed itself directly, but was packed under the surface level, and seeped through it indirectly.This dissertation includes6chapters. Chapter one gives an overview of existed study of official discourse, official culture and semi-analysis. Chapter two introduces the theory of semi-analysis provided by Julia Kristeva. Chapter3defines the important conception of discourse impulsion and discourse restriction, while chapter4describes the interaction of them, and conclude a system of discourse restriction. Chapter5reconsitutes the generative process of official discourse, and summarizes its special generative rule. Then, Chapter6studies3special linguistic phenomenons and strategies of official discourse. And chapter7reveal the perspective of Chinese contemporary official culture provided by novel official discourse. |
