A Study On The Mode Of Thinking In The Poems Of The Late Tang Dynasty

Plenty of poems on history emerge in late Tang Dynasty,and from themes to the artistic features, our predecessors have done a lot of analysis and interpretation.They adopt traditional perspective to analyze these issues. Era of the late Tang dynasty and poets’plight contribute to poetry interpretation. But this article attempts to apply a perspective of the writers’thought patterns to creative re-explain. The writers’mindset also include the authors’worldview, literary traditions in addition to age and life experience. The historical and traditional factors which include the authors’worldview and literary traditions may influence the creation of poems on history in late Tang Dynasty deeply. The paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter analyzes the forming factors of thought patterns of poems on history in late Tang Dynasty. Specifically they include the following three aspects:the realistic environmental elements which consist of orderless age and rough encounter, the cultural context which includes the structure of the knowledge and the value of concerning about the world, the literature tradition which consists of poems on history in Tang Dynasty and before Tang Dynasty.The second chapter analyzes the mode of thinking of poems on history from the perspective of poetry theme, in which we highlight the impact of the history and tradition elements. Specifically, the Confucian concept of monarch affects the criticism of dissolute actions of sovereign. Underappreciated expression in the poems on history can receive explanation from the continuous consciousness of disappointment in the past times. The sentimental feelings when faced with historical sites can be dated to the concept of time of the universe of the ancient scholars.The third chapter analyzes the mode of thinking of poems on history from the perspective of poetry subjects and image. The contradiction between compassion and critical evaluation is the main idea of Li-Yang theme which expresses the relationship between Li Longji and Yang Yuhuan in Tang Dynasty. Confucian concept of monarch,the tide of fighting against traditional ideas and the practice of Bai Juyi are the source of the evaluation of this kind of contradiction. The sentimental mood is the subject of Jinling nostalgia. From the aspect of the poetry creation, the poems of Jinling nostalgia don’t have characteristics compared with the poems meditating on the past in late Tang Dynasty.On the contray,the poems of Liu Yuxi on Jinling nostalgia have a greater impact. The image of poems on history shows a strong use of modeling features. This phenomenon is caused by the image using tradition of classical poetry, the writing practice of Tang’s poets, trying to build a typical case and falling into a typical mood.In short, in addition to the era of environmental and personal life experience, the historical and traditional factors also potentially affect the writing of poems on history.
