The segmentalization of the Indian nationalism from the19th century to the beginning of the20th century gave birth to a special social system in which the secular social relationship is at the macro-level and the religious social relationship at the micro-level. This system is anchored in India after experiencing the baptism of the transition period from being the dominion of the Birth Empire to being an independent republic and accordingly, it would continue to exit in the Republic of India. From then on, the strategy which could be used by India to advance the modernization process transforms from by virtue of secular integration of the whole social system to draw support from economic system integration and political system integration which are guided and inspired by modern secular notions. It is difficult to make economic system and political system play together smoothly for India, and what’s more, the system integration in a new era has to be placed within that special social system. Such situation determines India’s modernization process must be an unusual journey.
