In the20th century, two world wars brought deep pain to human-beings, that we have to reflect again what kind of person the society should cultivate. This is a truly themes worth pondering. The modern western philosophers of the twentieth century have made their argument on the topic about "the creator". Three European philosophers--Nietzsche, Heidegger, Sartre’s points based on the concept of the proposed idea has significant representativeness, while American philosopher John Dewey put forward a new theory based on experimental empiricism. This new theory overcomes the defect of idealism, providing important ideological resources for the cultivation of the creator. However, from the view of Marx’s historical materialism, Dewey’s theory still has defects which need to be overcome. Therefore, this article has carried on the further analysis of Dewey’s theory from the position of Marxist philosophy on the base of the premise of value theory about fostering the creator and the Theoretical fulcrum. Dewey’s theory of creator is the gist of his value philosophy. Dewey thought, in scientific and democratic society, the wisdom should be provided for human life by philosophy. And the important aspect of the wisdom is the creator of human civilization, not the cultivation of the replication of human civilization. Therefore Dewey thinks that the traditional philosophy which blocks philosophy to complete this mission should be criticized. As a result, he put forward the necessity of philosophy transformation. He criticizes the traditional metaphysical dualism position in an attempt to eliminate the gap between the nature and experience, the material and spiritual, mind and nature, theory and practice. More concentrated at the same time, he criticizes two kinds of theory of value philosophy which brings serious obstacle to the cultivation of the creator, one is Logical positivism’s value theory, and the other is the value of Perry’s interest theory. First of all, this article draws the outline of the basic meaning and the internal logic of Dewey’s philosophy of value on the base of premising the Premise and the protection of Dewey’s theory of cultivating the creator. Secondly, based on Marx’s historical materialism’s basic position, this paper examines the Dewey’s theory of the creator. This paper introduces Marx’s three core concepts:"Practice","Communication","Ideology Criticism", and comparing them with three core concepts of Dewey’s philosophy of value,"Experience","Situation" and "Evaluation" to show the Marxism theory’s perspective. Dewey’s theory of the cultivation of the creator pay attention on the cultivation of the creator as an individual, In contrast, the Marxism about the cultivation of the creator, focus on as a class namely the cultivation of the "Proletariat". This paper points out that this is important distinction between Dewey’s creator cultivation theory and the creator of Marxism theory. Finally, the paper, in conclusion section, carried on the overall evaluation on Dewey’s education theory from the standpoint of Marxist philosophy. Thus it began a broader area need more in-depth study of Marxism about culture creator.
