A Comparative Study Of Dai People 's Living Customs From The Perspective Of Different Religious Beliefs

Dai people mainly live in Yunnan province to the west of double Na DaiAutonomous Prefecture, Dehong Dai, Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture and Gengma,Menglian etc, the rest scattered in Xinping, Yuanjiang County, more than30. InJanuary24,1953the establishment of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous prefecture.After they have been established in Yunnan Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous (July24,1953), Dai, Lahu and Wa Autonomous County of Yunnan (June16,1954),Menglian Dai and Wa Autonomous County of Yunnan Gengma (October16,1955),Hani and Yi and Dai Autonomous County of Yunnan province in Yunnan (November22,1980), Xinping Yi and Dai Autonomous County (November25,1980). This papermainly study is a comparative study of Dai customs in different religion, mainly in theSouthern Buddhism belief of Xishuangbanna, Dehong Dai and without HinayanaBuddhism influence still retains its original Xinping Dai customs of religious belief isdifferent as the object of study. Through the analysis of huayaodai Xinping primitivereligion to summarize their heritage of the unique life custom, compared with faithand Theravada Buddhism Dai beliefs and practices of their lives, to explore theirsimilarities and differences. The main research contents of this paper are:1,Xishuangbanna, Dehong Dai and Xinping Dai religious beliefs, primitive religionincludes Xishuangbanna, Dehong Dai and primitive religious belief, Buddhist beliefand Xinping Dai; customs2, Xishuangbanna, Dehong national Southern Buddhismbelief and customs,3; non Theravada Buddhist belief Xinping Huayao Dai Daicustoms; comparison of4, with or without Hinayana Buddhism belief.
