Bai Juyi is a Famous poet of the middle Tang Dynasty with most features and eracharacteristics. His poetry theory, thoughts and creations have always been the focusof attention of scholars. In this article, the author tries to use his “implicit” aestheticsas the research subject. Focus from the perspective of aesthetics to discusses this idea.The poet of Bai juyi’s “implicit” thoughts are the results of pursuing personalityindependence and exploring the beauty in life after the conduct of his own lifeaesthetic and in the remainder of the dark reality of escape and passive resistancewhich with rational thinking combined with social and political environment.This article contains4chapters. In the first chapter, the author examines themeaning of Bai Juyi’s “implicit” aesthetics through the Chinese traditional seclusionthoughts before the Mid-tang Dynasty. In the second chapter, the author investigatesthe origin of the formation of this aesthetic idea through the relationships between theformation of Bai Juyi’s “implicit” aesthetics and three factors, including Chinesetraditional aesthetics, the special political environment of the Mid-tang Dynasty andhis own life experiences. In the third chapter, the author analyzes the relation betweenhis “implicit” aesthetics and his poetry creation mainly through the analysis of hispoems. From the analysis, it can be found that there are a lot of works with thethinking of “contentment and leisure-pursuit”, and there are also many works withallegory, sentimental feelings, broad-minded realm and poetry artistic of realismaffected by his “implicit” aesthetics. In the fourth chapter, the author discusses theaesthetic value and influence of Bai Juyi’s “implicit” aesthetics mainly from theaesthetic level. According to these levels of digging, the author aims to present a fleshplump Bai Juyi from the unique seclusion thought of “implicit”.
