A Study On The Vocabulary Of Shangqiu Dialect

Dialect research has a long history. Gradually, the current study iscomprehensive and indepth. However, the research used to focus on the voicedescription, and they think that the dialects have few differences between glossaryand grammar. But with development of the dialect research and the indepth survey ofChinese dialects, more and more researchers are increasingly recognized that there area lot of differences in dialect glossary. Comparatively speaking, the modern researchof dialect began very late, and the researchers didn’t pay more attention to it, and theresearch of dialect is still in a subordinate position. Although it has some changes inrecent years, but in terms of its breath and the indepth, the research is not enough. Inorder to change this situation, the article will discuss the Shangqiu dialect very deeply,and it wishes to make a little contribution to the location of our Chinese dialects andthe study of the Chinese dialects as well as the standardization of modern Chinese.The thesis regards Shangqiu vocabulary as the research object, it launches apractical vocabulary survey on residents of various age periods. Based on the surveyof Shangqiu dialect, the author made a Shangqiu dialect glossary. In order to get themorphology features and the meaning features of Shangqiu dialect, the thesiscompares and analyzes the differences between Shangqiu dialect and Putonghuaglossaries. The paper studies Shangqiu dialect glossaries from diachronic angle andexemplifies it from the words that have inherited part of the ancient Chinese and themodern Chinese.There are six chapters in this thesis.PrefaceThis chapter mainly introduces the meaning and the situation of the Shangqiudialect research, and so on.This chapter also makes a briefly introduction of Shangqiu dialect including theposition and the reform history of this place. In order to make good preparation forfurther study on the voice features of Shangqiu dialect glossary and its historicaldevelopment, it also describes its phonology and voice. In this chapter it introducesthe present situation of Shangqiu dialect, too.The second chapter introduces the morphology features of Shangqiu dialectglossary mainly from the two aspects; and then the author compares the differences inthe vocabulary meaning, grammatical meaning and hint meaning between Shangqiu dialect and the Putonghua glossaries.The chapter three introduces some common Shangqiu dialect characteristics,including pronoun, adverb, preposition and so on.This chapter four researches Shangqiu dialect glossary from the diachronic angleand analyzes the etymology features of Shangqiu dialect glossary.The fifith chapter enumerates a group of words which can refract the socialculture.The sixth chapter is a short conclusion.The last part is appendix, it is the Shangqiu dialect glossary.
