A Study On The Vocabulary Of Quwo Dialect

Quwo is located in the southern tip of Linfen basin in Shanxi province, was a history of “Wugong occupied Quwo, and Jin has been flourishing, Wengong rely on Quwo to become hegemon” ancient country capital has a very important position in history. Quwo dialect belongs to the Fenhe clusters of Zhongyuan Mandarin, which should be redemarcated into Jiangzhou sub-clusters according to Quwo dialect phonological feathers. Its dialect was influenced by the official dialect of zhongyuan China and Jin dialect, so it has its own characters. But for a long time its dialect never attracted people’attention.Specially the vocabulary, no one has made a systematic analysis on it. On the basis of investigating in the locality, the article has conducted a comprehensive finishing of the dialect pronunciation and the materal of vocabulary, and has done a detailed analysis of the description, in order to reveal Lexical features of Quwo dialect. By doing this, the author hopes these can fill the gap in this field and provide materials for further research on the dialects of Shanxi province especially in the field of vocabulary.The thesis consists of three chapters, an outline, pronounciation, vocabulary and conclution.The outline is a brief introduction on the population profile、administrative region and the historical evolution of Quwo, and research on the vocabulary of Quwo dialect, the research of Quwo dialect and so on.Chapter2 mainly describes the phonetic features of Quwo dialect and do a detailed analysis of initials, finals, tone of Quwo dialect.Chapter3 mainly describes the lexical system of Quwo dialect, and be displayed in the form.Chapter4 mainly describes comparative analysis between the vocabulary of Quwo dialect, Putonghua vocabulary and Jinyu dialect vocabulary(represented by Yangqu) belonging to the. By doing this, to explore the characteristics of Quwo dialect vocabulary.
