After the founding of the new China in October 1 in 1949, the literatureand art mangement department of Beijing government took measures totransform the opera industry in Beijing city. The policies of transformingplayed a decisive and profound role in the development of the opera. Thenhow did the important literature and art innovation process? What baptismdid the drama and the artist undergo?What style did the drama and theartist take on after the innovation? This thesis mainly talks about thesystematic research and reflections of the innovation process in the early1950 s in Beijing.The introduction describes the significance of the topic of this paper,current reaserch situation and the research methods.The first chapter of this paper introduces the background of transformingthe drama and the artist in the early 1950 s in Beijing.Firstly, the thesis talksabout the Communist Party of China’s consistent attitude to the literature andart. The Communist Party of China insisted that the literature and art shouldbe supervised and function publicity and education. As one kind of theliterature and art,the opera should be reformed necessarily. Since theCommunist Party of China took over the Beijing city,it had taken severalpreparatory measures to reform the opera.After the founding of the newChina in October 1 in 1949,the reformation was carried out in largescale.Secondly, the thesis talks about the survival condition of the artist andtheatrical troupe in the old society. The artist and theatrical troupe’s defectwas one reason for the reformation.The second part of this paper is to relate and analyze the history of thereformation process.Specifically,the opera reform consisted of threeaspects,that’s the reformation of the theatrical troupes, the drama and theartists.About the reformation of the theatrical troupes,the thesis mainly talksabout two kind of system,that’s the compulsory registration system and thegoing-out performance system which is the core of the managementsystem.Then the thesis talks about reformation method of the theatricaltroupe. Thirdly, the thesis talks about the process of ideological reform andthe great change and progress of the artists.The thind part of this paper is several reflection on the policies of thetraditional opera in the early 1950 s in Beijing.The paper talks about theaccomplishment and complexity of the reform,and the dialectics ofhistory.From the thesis we can realize that Beijing city took the scientific stepsand the realistic methods to reform the opera industry and achieved its goals,but it also left some sequelae.
