But in terms of the domestic film market, though a booming trend is shown, a very severe phenomenon of "unbalanced learning" will be found with careful observation. A lot of film types are absent. Science fiction movie is one of them. Science fiction movie of China is like the vast universe. It is known that it contains infinite wealth in deep blue. Yet people are timid and dare not to enter. What caused the plight of Chinese science fiction movie now? How do Chinese filmmakers go out of this dilemma? Through comparative analysis with Hollywood science fiction movie, the causes of the absence of Chinese science fiction movies are identified. With the experience and lessons of China’s original science fiction literature, reference and enlightenment for the development of Chinese science fiction movies are provided. In such aspects as the spread in literature and art, the development of science fiction industry, the improvement of the scientific literacy of Chinese people, the development track of China’s science fiction film is explored. The paper tries to analyze the future direction of Chinese science fiction movie.
