As a writer who was born in the Republican-year period of China, Zhao Qingge’s seemed not to be that famous. Editing journals and composing literature works are two main projects of her life. Apart from these, she accepted the invitation from Liu Shi who suggested her to be editorial member of the "Art Forum" magazine. Since the age of sixteen, he published his first poem, Zhao Qingge’s life has hardly separated from literature world, talented as she was and had a great amount of works as well. In nearly 70 years of literary career, she created a large number of literary works, attempting to express her emotion through different forms. Such as fictions, poetries, essays, screenplays, dramas and so on. My article focuses on the Zhao Qingge’s dramas, targeting on the dramas which written during the Anti-Japanese War and describes her four decades of efforts and dedications spent on the adaption of "Dream of Red Mansions”. Taking some typical and classic dramas as the main cases to analyze the objects of theirs. Trying to explain the contexts of different eras and social backgrounds, thoughts, characteristics and influences. The first chapter begins with a brief introduction of Zhao Qingge’s life, to help readers know certain highlights of the writer’s life and then make a better understanding of her works in literature. Then listing her literary works in the second quarter during her entire life, especially works of drama, and get a comprehension of the literary writers in different eras. The first section in the second chapter introduces the overall situations and qualities of literature during the Anti-Japanese War and the functions of the dramas which written during the time of the Anti-Japanese War and their remarkable influences. Based on the works written by great writers during the Anti-Japanese War to analyze the basic features and the classifications of dramas under that cultural and social background. To introduce the first literary periodicals <Dan Hua>during the Anti-Japanese War which was edited by Zhao Qingge. Try to state the significant importance and influences of "Dan Hua" in public industry during the Anti-Japanese War. To illustrate the effects and roles of uniting the writers together to make contributions to development of literature and arts. The second section mainly analyzes theme choices of Zhao Qingge’s drama works during the Anti-Japanese War, mainly divides this part into three main themes: The highlights of women; Pay attention to personal growth and the realization of individuals’ dreams; the flowers of love on the battlefield. Drama theme selections are closely related to the twists and turns of the author’s life experience. Attempt to analyze the reasons why Zhao Qingge’s Anti-Japanese War dramas present with those kinds of themes in that way and to comment the artistic values of the drams. The third section separates the dramas with the eras of the first few years after Lugou Bridge incident and the 40 s in the 20 th century because they take on so many differences. Discuss the characteristics of Zhao Qingge’s drams in the early period of war and dramatic changes in her works in the 40 s in the 20 th century. Then review the features and values of the Zhao Qingge’s drams written during the war. The first quarter in the third chapter firstly combs the history of the adaptions of <a dream of red mansions>.To introduce the background and the initial intention of moving her research insights and writing center. Then the second section analyzes the method and the basic strategy used in adaptation. Section 3 targets on the analysis of the characters’ reflections from Zhao Qingge emotions and how her unique life experience influence the shape of these characters. Finally, to conclude the meanings and values adaptation of the play in the modern literature history. The ending part simply combs the works which were written after the funding of People’s Republic of China and comment the historical status of the writer Zhao Qingge. For this period the author’s focus has shifted to the creation of the screenplays, so the amount of the dramas is less than previous period. This chapter mainly introduces the he overall writing situation of the writer during this period and lists the various literary works, then to make a simple evaluation of Zhao Qingge’s writing career. Taking a streamline of reviewing writer’s entire lifetime and to evaluate Zhao Qingge’s contributions in literary history.
