Research On "Xian Chun Lin An Zhi"

Not only relatively intact local history of Hangzhou up to now, "Xian Chun Ling’an zhi" is also the most completion style among the "Lin’an san zhi" of Southern Song Dynasty. It has completely style, plentiful material, textual fine trial and clearly consecution. After tracing the history of scholarship, we find that scholars just took a brief description, or quoted as review in the relevant papers, or even discussed the version of the book.In general, its’ systematic study is still significant insufficient."Xian Chun Ling’an zhi" is written under a particular era background that Southern Song Dynasty was in its late years,. And its’ author, Qian Shuoyou, has a special status. There are so many versions of "Xian Chun Ling’an zhi" in the process of circulation. This paper reveals that "Xian Chun Ling’an zhi" has a unique style——combining Ducheng zhi with Fu zhi. This editing style affects its content description, namely, to highlight capital Lin’an’s official institutions and other content in politics; population, business, school, books, etc in economy, culture, religion,customs and other aspects. Preservation of related documents on those topics has its own value of uniqueness, history complementation and scattering documents’ editing.Meanwhile, comparing "Xian Chun Ling’an zhi" with other Southern Song Dynasty’s Fangzhi, we can see the similarities and differences between them and can further discern the discrepancies that "Xianchun Ling’an" have in the compilation purpose,style arrangement and historical sources’ selection.In addition, "Xian Chun Ling’an zhi" provides relevant content for future writing of history. Future scholars will have a deep understanding and evaluation of it. By studying the previous aspects, the paper further analyzes the contents of "Xian Chun Ling’an zhi", deeper excavation its historical value. We found that "Xianchun Ling’an zhi" has an important guiding significance for the study of Lin’an during the Southern Song Dynasty. And also it provides more materials of Difang zhi for the study of the history of the Southern Song Dynasty.
