Suzhou Pingtan is the wonderful flower of Chinese local art. It takes hundreds of years for popular in the area south of the Yangtze River. Since the modern times, because of conform to the trend of the development of urban culture, Pingtan became one of Shanghai’s most popular local art. After the people’s republic of China was founded, the government explored the political propaganda function of Pingtan, Painting it as “light cavalry of art”. In under the guidance of “Reform of the Play,the Personnel,and the System”, A series of changes of Pingtan had happened. The inheritance of Pingtan also had changed. The original inheritance of Pingtan is “with the teacher”. Since twentieth Century since the mid fifty’s, the government tried to make “studying in school”.“Be both socialist‐minded and professionally competent” is the aim of “studying in school”. So, Ideological and political, cultural knowledge came to “studying in school”. They had become parts of component with Professional skills. But, “with the teacher” was still existence.Students can not grasp the fate after graduation. Tissue distribution of youth into different groups. The group will check up the skill of young artists. The youth should complete the tasks according to the requirements of Pingtan group. The young artists in the process lost its individual promotion opportunities for exercise. This had a negative impact on the long‐term development.
