Ego depletion is a phenomenon of decline of self-control and subsequent task achievement caused by consumption of self-resources by sorts of activities, such as self-control. It can be regarded as a damaged state of executive function after the consumption of mental energy. Compensation research of ego depletion were started in order to reduce the damage o this kind of activity. Previous studies have shown that positive emotion has compensation function of the ego depletion. Some relative studies, however, showed that negative emotions and positive emotions in self-control task performance difference is not significant. Cognitive flexibility is one of the major components of executive function. As the state of ego depletion will affect executive function, this study regard cognitive flexibility as the performance of ego depletion compensation or not. For the convenience of study in the application of the promotion, in this study, pleasure and boredom is instead of positive emotions and negative emotions, which is more adapted to the actual teaching situation. Through the two independent dual-task paradigm, exploring if it is consistent of the compensation of emotion to ego depletion. The result shows that in the dual-task paradigm, subjects with pleasure’s cognitive flexibility is higher than who with boredom, pleasure improved the level of cognitive flexibility after an ego depletion. The major conclusion is:1. After a high ego depletion task, subjects with pleasure’s cognitive flexibility is higher than who with boredom, pleasure has compensation to ego depletion.2. After a low ego depletion task, subjects with pleasure’s cognitive flexibility is higher than who with boredom, pleasure has compensation to ego depletion.3. After ego depletion, subjects with pleasure’s cognitive flexibility is higher than who with boredom, pleasure has compensation to ego depletion.4. The result of two independent experiments is the same.According to our result, we advocate pleasure teaching in primary and secondary school. Pleasant classroom atmosphere can help to reduce ego depletion by self-control and learning tasks of students. In this way, students can eliminate fatigue and maintain classroom learning energy to complete classroom learning better.
