Junior high school students began to study geometry knowledge systematically, at the same time, this age is also the important stage of their adolescence rapid development, in terms of cognitive and emotional characteristics, has obvious personality differentiation. This study discussed from two aspects of cognitive flexibility and emotional stability characteristic on the influence to solve the problem of geometric. This study can provide theoretical guidance to junior high school teachers how to help stude nts improve personalized problem solving ability to provide theoretical guidance. There are One hundred and eighty-eight Junior high school students in this experiment. They come from a experimental middle school in the Huaibei city, Anhui province. First, they fill in the ?N? subscales of Eysenck personality questionnaire; next, they have a test about cognitive flexibility. By data results, there are 56 the participants in this study. The participants have two similar geometry exam papers, before the seco nd test, the participants will listen to the music of induced mood. There is a statistical about the time and accuracy of answering the questions. Analyze the data on the SPSS 17.0.The results of the study:1. Individuals of different cognitive flexibility in dealing with significant differences on the accuracy of geometry, high cognitive flexibility of individuals on the correct overall cognitive flexibility is significantly higher than low individual. This suggests that individuals with higher cognitive flexibility can better solve the problem of geometry.2. Different emotional stability of an individual on the answer does not exist significant difference time and accuracy. This indicates that the level of individual emotional stability to the influence of the geometry problem solving is very smal.3. Emotional stability and cognitive flexibility of interaction was not significant. Individual?s emotional stability and between levels of cognitive flexibility are independent of each other.4. Situation of music intervention will affect the subjects to solve geometric accuracy and answer the questions on time. Listen to the soft positive music helps to improve the individual to solve the problem of geometric accuracy and answer the questions on time.
