Research On Moral Education In Punishment Execution

Moral education is a question that attracts a lot of attention in the field of ethics, and also a hot question in the current period of social transition. The criminals under punishment once did great harm to the society, so moral education of them plays an important role in that of the whole human beings. Morality and law, two main codes, co-modulate the society and they are mutually complementary, which determines the principle of the execution and the moral education is consistency. Education is a common purpose of penalty execution and the moral education, and ‘let a person become people’ is the ultimate goal of both. From the aspects of education objects, education subjects and education environment, we can systematically understand the feature of moral education in penal execution, thus to have objective knowledge about the fact that the power of moral education in the implementation of the punishment is weak, the education content too idealistic, and the education mode out of date while the education effect not obvious. The causes of these problems is very complicated, including traditional penalty concept did not attach enough importance to moral education, the criminal subculture environment between the negative effects of punishment execution of police their own moral accomplishment is not enough, the execution of punishment moral education theoretical research is weak, and so on. Based on moral education in current penal execution reality, this paper argues that to try to rebuild from the content of the moral education, pattern innovation, culture remolding and in-depth discussion is made in aspects of subject construction, in order to eliminate the penalty execution of moral education problems, help criminals to return to moral life, and enhance the level of social civilization.
