This paper discusses the similarities and differences between China and Japan in term of nonverbal communication. Through comparison, we find that China and Japan not only have some differences, but also have some similarities when we talk about nonverbal communication. The whole text writes as the following steps:The first chapter is the introduction part, summarizing the reason of this writing.The second chapter is about the present situation of nonverbal communication research, a brief introduction of the research achievements of nonverbal communication.The third and fourth chapters are about the form of nonverbal communication and culture tendency of Japanese and Chinese, including expressions, eye contact, gestures and space distance, etc.The fifth chapter compares the similarities and differences in nonverbal communication between China and Japan, from the aspects such as body language, object language and paralanguage. We find that China and Japan have both differences and similarities in nonverbal communication.The sixth chapter concludes that Japanese non-verbal behaviors tend to be closed, introverted, expression and posture modeled. Wherever, Chinese non-verbal behaviors tend to be more outgoing and open, more personalized on the express way by comparison.
