At 1977 in Pingshan County Hebei Province, Zhongshan state ruins were dug out, which located in the south of Dongling and Xiling Mountain of Sanji commune. Large numbers of chinese bronzes were unearthed. Known as "Three bronze wares of Zhongshan(or Pingshan)", square pots, Ting and round pots of Zhongshan King were included. Widespread attentions were focused on epigraphs of "Three bronze wares of Zhongshan" owing to their long length and detailed historical record.40 years since its unearthing, research from all aspects of political, military, cultural were carried on. However, unfortunately, study on calligraphy style was rare. This paper will choose "Three bronze wares of Zhongshan" as the three main object of research, designed to study its calligraphy styles and aesthetics.Epigraphs of "Three bronze wares of Zhongshan", as an important part of the characters during the Warring States Period, not only embodied the potential to simplify the characters, but also demonstrated its unique decorative beauty with the unique style and independent aesthetic value. This paper emphasized on "Three bronze wares of Zhongshan", while "Introduction" highlights its research status and research value. The discovering and arrangement of characters on those bronzes reveal the diversity of calligraphy styles in Zhongshan state. Therefore, the significance of studying calligraphy styles is particularly important. In this paper, the blade, pen, structure and composition were chosen as the breakthrough point. Through the comparison with other calligraphy works at the same period also analysis on the formation and evolution from the casting, sculptor, technology and social cultural factors, the unique calligraphy style will be further discussed. At last, it discusses how important Epigraphs of "Three bronze wares of Zhongshan" are with the influence of aesthetic tendency and inspiration of calligraphy creation in the later ages.
