Due to the continuous development and progress both in religion and tourism, Buddhism, with great religious power and charming artistic meaning, is attracting an increasing tourists. In the context, Buddhism tourism has been a popular type of tourism. Nowadays tourists’ demands have been gradually shifting from the lower level of merely sightseeing to higher level of experiencing and cultural spirit, So the development of Buddhism tourism which emphasizes individual spirit and experiencing is of great importance in tourism continuing exploration and optimization.The article chooses Lingshan scenic spot in Wuxi city, Jiangsu Province as a case. With such theories as Buddhism tourism concept, experiencing economic theory, tourists’ perceived value theory, tourism exploration being the theoretical foundation, the article comprehensively applies Literature Research Method, Depth Interview, Delphi Method and Statistic Analysis to study the perceived elements of Buddhism-tourists, and puts forth corresponding exploring and optimizing strategies for Lingshan Scenic Spot. The whole research includes four parts. The 1st part is basic research. It mainly states the research background, research meaning, research content, research methods and research techniques. Besides, in this part, it defines the relevant concepts and makes a brief introduction of the Lingshan scenic spot; The 2nd part is standard research. Based on the research of Buddhism tourism development, the system of factors for Buddhism tourism perceived elements model is constructed by Literature Research Method, Depth Interview and questionnaire survey.The 3rd part is the empirical research. The empirical research applies Buddhism tourism perceived elements model to evaluate the development of Lingshan scenic spot. It comprehensively adopts IPA to reveal the advantages and disadvantages of Buddhism tourism exploration in Lingshan scenic spot, then put forth corresponding exploring and optimizing strategies; The 4th part is the conclusion and discussion. It is consisted of research conclusion, research innovation, research shortage, and the follow-up research.The article, from the view of tourists, tries to construct the system of perceived elements model for Buddhism tourists which enriches the theoretical foundation of perceives value and Buddhism tourism research and provides some references for the research methods. What’s important, it applies the IPA method in evaluating andstudying the Buddhism tourism attraction for the first time. In the meantime, according to the analyzing result it puts forward some practical promotion strategies for exploring and optimizing the Lingshan scenic spot, which reveals the innovation in practical apply.
