Research On C-E Translation Of Scenic-spot Introduction In Light Of Skopos Theory

Recently,with the prosperity and development of Chinese tourism industry,China's unique culture and splendid history attract more and more foreign tourists.Scenic-spot introduction has become one of the most important and common shortcuts for visitors to get tourism information.And scenic-spot introduction translation becomes more important than before in displaying attractive Chinese culture.The thesis takes the C-E translation text of scenic-spot introduction in Shandong province as the research data with the guidance of skopos theory to explore some appropriate techniques of Scenic-spot Introduction translation.Although some English translation texts are better,there are still some kinds of mistranslation.Through analysis of collected data,the author categorizes the mistranslation into three types: skopos mistranslation,coherence mistranslation and fidelity mistranslation.Furthermore,the thesis proposes certain translating techniques,including purposeful supplement and omission,inter-textual coherent transliteration plus annotation,etc.The thesis is hopefully helpful to the researches on tourism translation in the future.
