A Study On The Artistic Paintings

Although Ren Xun has not been the most famous artist in Shanghai school, but he played a very important role for the development of Shanghai school and the whole Chinese painting. In this paper, by studying and learning the flower‐bird painting of Ren Xun, the understanding of bird lines, colors and composition has been improved. While relatively compared with other artist in the same period, like Chen Hongshou, Ren Bonian, Ren Xiong and so on, I find my basis points of learning and creation in future to target postgraduate study. Chapter one tells us the background of Ren Xun’s flower‐bird painting. The second chapter describes the content and form of Ren Xun’s flower‐bird painting. The third chapter focuses on the analysis of any Ren Xun’s works. The fourth chapter talks about my personal creative process in three years of graduate study, then my studying experience has been concluded.
