Emotion regulation plays important role on social development of preschoolers. Itis an important emotional ability for preschoolers. The definition of emotionregulation strategies is every means which are used to regulate mood and emotion.Nowadays, the investigation of emotion regulation strategies becomes a hot spot.Based on theory of Bronfenbrenner and model of Morris, we begin to study emotionregulation strategies of preschoolers.Subjects came from a Jinan public kindergarten including195preschoolers andtheir parents. This research adopted a study of preschooler emotion regulationquestionnaire for parents by Lu Fang. Parent-child relationship investigation adoptedquestionnaire of Parent-child relationship by Zhao Tingting. Peer acceptance wasmeasured by peer nomination. This research mainly obtained the following results:(1)Alternative strategies werethe most usual.(2) Pearson correlation analysis showed that cognitive reconstructionstrategy had significant positive correlation with reaction, cognitive reconstructionstrategy had significant positive correlation with peer acceptance. Problem-solvingstrategy had positive correlation with reaction significantly. Alternative action hadpositive correlation with reaction, emotional intimacy, attachment, peer acceptancesignificantly. Venting had negative correlation with reaction attachment, peeracceptance significantly. Passive dealing strategies had correlations with emotionalintimacy significantly. Self-comfort strategy had significant positive correlation withrequirement.(3)Cognitive reconstruction strategy and alternative strategy couldpositively predict peer acceptance of preschoolers. Venting strategy could negativelypredict the degree of peer acceptance.(4)The coefficient between reaction and peeracceptance was not statistically significant after the introduction of cognitivereconstruction into the reaction equation, which indicated that reaction influencedpeer acceptance through cognitive reconstruction and that cognitive reconstructionmediated the relationship between reaction and peer acceptance partially, mediate effect accounted for10%of the total effect. The coefficient between reaction and peeracceptance was not statistically significant after the introduction of venting strategiesinto the reaction equation, which indicated that reaction influenced peer acceptancethrough venting strategies and that venting strategies mediated the relationshipbetween reaction and peer acceptance partially, mediate effect accounted for44%ofthe total effect. The coefficient between attachment and peer acceptance was notstatistically significant after the introduction of venting strategies into the attachmentequation, which indicated that attachment influenced peer acceptance through ventingstrategies and that venting strategies mediated the relationship between attachmentand peer acceptance.
