An Analysis Of The Conversational Structure Of "Viewing" In TV Interview

The TV interview program is held in a special scene in the form of talking by theinterviewer and interviewee, and its theme is a hot event which happened recently and gets a lotof attention. In order to let the audience know the events and figures deeply and comprehensively,the program taps into the core from a dispassionate point, and explores the figure’s inner thought.Though the TV interview program has the common characteristics of Mass Communication andInterpersonal Communication, it also has its own special session mechanism and regular pattern.On the basis of concluding the previous theory study, this paper is in the context of pragmatictheory, and uses the speech and conversation in the representative TV interview program Insightas the corpus, and analyzes the overall conversation framework of the program, from the point ofconversation characteristics in the opening,body and ending, and the paper discusses the overallconversation framework of the program, and it uses turn-taking, adjacency pair, overlapping andsome other theories to analyze the local structure of the conversation. The purpose of the paper isto explore Turn-taking strategies what the host uses in the interview, to reveal the nature and lawof news interview session activities.By studying the success in conversation structure in Insight,the paper searches for the unique developing path of the TV interview program.This thesis is mainly divided into five chapters：Chapter I introduces the research background, content, methods, aims and creative meansof the paper.Chapter II makes a detailed analysis of the general characteristics of Insight and the TVlanguage includes Introduction, Conclusion, Corresponding voice and Narrator commentary.Chapter III focuses on the analysis of Insight the whole conversation structure and localconversation structure. The whole conversation structure including opening, body andending.The local session structure comprises turn-taking, overlapping, adjacency pair and otherfactors, to explore the conversational structure characteristics of the show.
