In the development of human history, the color is always accompanied with thehuman evolution in time. People of color instinct in development rise as the artisticcreation, these create belong to human beings in the aesthetic orientation in differenthistorical periods. This paper takes time as the axis, horizontal comparison betweenancient China and the west do around the color, respectively, for example of Chinesepainting and Western painting in the different stages of the similarities and differencesof color selection.The full text is divided into three chapters: the first chapter mainly includesthe prehistoric era of human cognition, the color of the color tendency; choose secondchapter about western collective, in Byzantine mosaics and Rome Gothic stainedglass painting as an example to explore the Medieval Western art ofcolor use, to "Zanhua had" as an example centering on the development situationof heavy color painting color in the Sui and Tang Dynasties Chinese, explorethe concept of color Chinese peculiar; and in the West in the color of material selectionon the tendency analysis of ancient Chinese and western of the similarities anddifferences of color use. The third chapter unifies own copy works and creation, thispaper provides an overview of the argument for the enlightenment significance andthe guiding role of his painting practice.
