A Study About The Colored Drawings Of Ancient Architecture In Hohhot,Inner Mongolia

The architectural colored drawing is an important part of Chinese ancient architecture decoration. The colored drawing of ancient architecture in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia is influenced not only by the traditional colored drawing, but also by the unique culture and art forms of Mongolia. So the patterns and colors of colored drawings show some regional and national colors which are expressed in Mongolia’s culture.The thesis aims to study the positions, forms and artistic styles of three old buildings of Hohhot:DaZhao Temple, General YaShu, and The Princess Mansion. It also discusses its decorative function, symbolic meanings and national color. In addition, the thesis elaborates and analyzes the colored drawings of ancient architecture designed in different forms in Hohhot from art patterns, color characteristics and aesthetic meanings. So it is highly imperative to protect the colored drawings of ancient architecture in Hohhot to inherit and develop it.
