With Chinese language gains its popularity, the demand for number of high quality international Chinese teachers increasing, and the task of cultivating more qualified talents of teaching Chinese as a second language is more pressing. Since the cultivation will face many new problems and new challenges, such as scarce of the adaptive ability in overseas teaching environment, lack the strain capacity and the poor skills in that transform theoretical knowledge into practical ability. Case Method is introduced to the training of international Chinese language teachers as a kind of method which linking theory with practice, pay attention to training teaching ability, Case Method is conducive to the cultivation of practical type, application type and compound type of talents. To ensure the long-term implementation of Case Method effectively, case-database as a strong support system is in need, it could provide rich case resource and system function.The College of International Education of MUC(Minzu University of China), the first who built the "Case-database of TCSOL"(Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) platform (www.tpi.cie.muc.edu.cn), aimed at constructing a distinguished teaching resource database with convenient system, paid high attention to the typical case of international Chinese teaching, provided high quality teaching resources for the Case Method, supplied reference with actual value for future international Chinese teachers. However, so far, after the case-database went online, there are still many problems exists, such as the unstable site system, lack of practical applicability in interface design, the low visitor flow, failed to make full use of case resources developed. Therefore, it is necessary to do optimal construction of case-database. This paper selects website interface design and usability of the case-database to investigate current problems of MUC’s case-database. Due to the construction of the case-database of TCSOL is still in the exploratory stage currently, very few research results in related area, there is also no referred professional standard for the construction. Therefore this study referred on MBA case-databases and construction experience of East China Normal University’s international Chinese education case-database, as it has the most outstanding database construction achievements in the international Chinese teaching field. And based on the theory of website interface design, interaction design, usability design and related theory, the author aims to inspect the construction and usage condition of case-database of TCSOL.This study includes 6 chapters; the first chapter introduces the origin of this research, and reviews the related research status of this study. The second chapter concerns basic theory foundation, compiles relevant principles of interaction design theory, website construction theory, interface design theory and the visual design theory. The third chapter is the comparison of case-database, consists of website construction and website design two plates. The fourth chapter is the usability analysis of the case-database interface, design the plan of the deep level interview, and analyze the results of the interviews. The fifth chapter is the conclusion and illumination, including suggestions for improvement. The sixth chapter is ending part; summarizes the whole paper, illustrates the innovation points, limitations of this study and the future possible research.This article is innovated in topic selecting and research methods. First, this paper is a new topic. Selected the MUC’s case-database as the object of study. On the principle of finding, analyzing and solving problems, the author discusses the problems and weaknesses of the MUC’s case-database, explores approaches of optimizing and perfection the construction. This article started with problems when using the case-database, possesses consciousness of problems and practical value, and holds the primary problems with research value. Second, this research is innovated in research methods. As case-database in international Chinese teaching area is still in preliminary stage, related researching results and referred achievements are in lack. Therefore this article adopts the method of interdisciplinary comparative study and reference on the more mature areas of MBA case-database achievements, such as application, usage and promotion of the database, to provide suggestions on MUC’s case-database. The author stands in a new standpoint, concludes original conclusion in the end, and gains many new illuminations.This article finds the deficiencies of MUC’s case-datebase. In the aspect of construction, the source of case was single, low usage rate, professional maintenance was in lack, small background storage and timeliness absence. In aspect of web design, short of navigation design, lacking practical applicability of retrieval, redundant layout design, and content composed crowded and lack the use of color terms in the case-database. The author proposes several suggestions according to these deficiencies, on the construction side, cooperation should be enhanced to broaden the case collecting channel, propagandizing the case-database to higher the usage rate and employing professional technician to responsible for maintenance of the case-database and enlarging background storage. On the web design side, users should be focused, design more approaches to navigate, optimize the retrieval design, simplify the layout, recompose the content and use different darkness of color to increase visual distinction. This research article may provide several suggestions for the optimal construction of MUC’s case-datebase of TCSOL.
