Beijing 's Municipal Construction And Urban Development At The Beginning Of The Founding Of The People' S Republic Of China (1949-1952)

City is a synthesis of politics、economy and culture.Its emergence and development is also influenced by political、economic and cultural factors. Putting these factors on the time axis, you can see the living history of a city. Beijing, as a historical ancient city and the capital of China, from its establishment to its development, through the vicissitudes of history, has the indelible status in the history of China. It can be said, if we do not know the city of Beijing in the past, we can’t know the city of Beijing now, and of course it will be impossible to construct the future of Beijing preferably. After the peaceful liberation of Peiping, the Communist Party of China successfully received this city, and carried out a lot of fruitful work in regime、economy、culture and social transformation. The Communist Party of China transformed Beijing into the new democratic city successfully, and maked the future and destiny of Beijing change fundamentally.Municipal construction is an important part of city construction and city development.This paper will put Beijing as the object of study, and put municipal construction of Beijing in the early years of our country’s foundation as the breakthrough point, then it will demonstrate the municipal construction and city development of Beijing in this period. Researching on municipal construction and city development can help us peep at the development history and social history of Beijing from more subtle and specific aspects, taking history as a mirror, and also, provide a reference for us in today’s municipal construction of city and city development.This paper is divided into three parts:preface、text and epilogue. The preface mainly introduces the reason of topic、research status、research methods and the definition of the concept. The body text is divided into four chapters.
