An Analysis Of Yu Han 's Artistic Innovation

The full text is divided into four chapters. The introduction section is to describe the compositional background of erhu performer Yu Han and the erhu art as a whole. The first chapter is to study the works of Yu Han and his creative view on Hu Qin. I select three different styles of his works in order to illustrate his diverse techniques while he composes. The second chapter points out how Han’s playing method as a innovative perspective. This chapter also works as author’s understandingthroughout her learning with Han. The third chapter briefly summaries Han’s aesthetic towards Erhu arts. The conclusion part is the thoughtful understanding of the erhu performing art, and I also illustrate in what level the techniques and viewpoint of Erhu needs to be improved.In this paper, I address not only the creative achievement of Erhu performer Yu Han, but also summaries and experiences of what I have learned from my teacher, Yu Han. Through the study on Han’s creative view and performing techniques, We have better understanding,adaptability and expression on his repertoire.In sum, I believe that only through combining his creative teaching viewpoint and personal understanding,can we have a better contribution to Chinese Erhu performing arts.
