In the process of development of human civilization, people gradually formed language and characters, music and dance and art graphics to express different ideas, religious beliefs and emotions. These forms have been used in long-term of people’s survival and life practice, and it has become a common symbol. As time progresses, these symbols are constantly enriched, improved and recreated, and relatively are stable, and continue to play their role. Northeast Manchu culture is different from the Central Plains culture, although the Qing Dynasty ruled the Central Plains for 200 years, Manchu culture is greatly influenced by the culture of the Central Plains, but it’s style of the essence of Art(the northeast) still retains the characteristics of Manchu style and embodied in the folk art is still the characteristics of closed, dignified, simple and bold because of Manchu’s early nomadic life. They understand the attitude of their ancestors’ to the environment by cognition of the original graphics. In fight of nature, human being could not understand some phenomena of nature, and believe nature is ruled by a strength called " deity" which is feared by them. This psychology is directly reflected on visual graphics with suggestive function. worshiping of nature, the totem that representing something of nature and various gods often left in ancestral worship activities are all appeared in various art graphics, This paper expounds the symbolic features of the local culture, and analyses graphics of universe and Yin and Yang in Shaman culture with representative symbol and also the symbol of good luck, blessing.
