Grain Policy Of Northwest Frontier County In The Early Western Han Dynasty

At the early stage of Western Han Dynasty,which had to solve two difficult problems.One of the problems was that how to restore the domestic economy. Another probiem was that how to deal with the invasion of the Huns.Especially to solve the problem of the Northwest trouble on the frontier must first solve the food supply,and therefore food can be described as a key factor in solving the two problems.The central government deeply realized the importance of food issues, and assessed the situation and took the right food policy, so that the domestic economy recovered. And comprehensive national strength also gradually increased. The rule of the Han Dynasty in the Northwest Bianjun also be consolidated, food policy had achieved good results. In this paper,I will discuss the food policy of Northwest Bianjun in the early stage of Western Han Dynasty through three parts.The first part mainly discussed the central government to solve the first major task, which was how to restore the domestic economy. In the process of solving the problem of domestic food, the Western Han Dynasty made the right food policy. The main purpose of the food policy was incentive farmers engaged in agricultural production. Food policy had played an important role in the early stage of Western Han Dynasty.The second part mainly discussed the central government was how to deal with the huns’ invasion, and the food supply in Northwest border was specific explanation. Overall, the implementation of the central government in the Northwest Bianjun’s policy was active defense policy. Northwest Bianjun’s food policy was to safeguard the northwest county’s food needs. The mutual cooperation, and achieved good results.The third part mainly discussesd the Millet Worship Jue policy, which was formulated by the emperor Wen of Han dynasty. I will research into the origin of the Millet Worship Jue,and its content, purpose and effect. In addition, I will also look into the Millet Worship Jue’s relationship with migration to the frontier. I think that the Millet Worship Jue played a leading role and had a very effective result.
