In Chinese contemporary literary world, compared with other “those who are born after1980s”, Guo Jingming is undoubtedly a typical representative. His accurate positioning of theyouth and the life experience from a writer to a merchant, has both distinct features in theconsumption cultural context and unique personal style different from other contemporarywriters, forming “the phenomenon of Guo Jingming’. On him, we see the media hype,commercial packaging, star movement and reader demand factors such as make a busy scene,other factors occupying the important position. We can say that he is a typical phenomenoncombined capital with literature. Therefore, the analysis of Guo Jingming in the consumptioncontext has strong current practical significance.This paper includes introduction, main body, conclusion three parts.The introduction part mainly summarizes the Guo Jingming phenomenon, including hispersonal experience, creation situation and focus on writing, pointing out that the research ideaof this article, the innovation and research significance.The main body is mainly composed of five chapters. The first chapter mainly analyzes thesocial background of Guo Jingming phenomenon, focusing on the formation of consumercontext and characteristics and the diversity of the current literature situation two dimensions.The second chapter mainly analyzes Guo Jingming how to produce emotional resonancewith readers by his works. The special era environment determines the wounds of “after90s”generation. Guo Jingming expresses their grief in his works mainly through the family love,friendship, love and the disillusionment four aspects for producing emotional resonance withtoday’s youth.The third chapter mainly analyzes the consumption picture revealing in Guo Jingming’sliterature works, focusing on the visual consumption and desire consumption. By the two levels,it points out Guo Jingming’s works has cartoon aesthetic artistic conception and exquisitepackaging text.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes Guo Jingming multiple identities focusing on cultural businessman and literature idol. Pointing out that in the process, Guo Jingming has been a“consumption symbol”.The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the significance of the appearance of Guo Jingmingphenomenon from literature and social two aspects, rethinking literature survival presentsituation and the current values.Epilogue part mainly points out that we should dialectically treat Guo Jingmingphenomenon. On the one hand, we should see his works have respect for life, for art andpioneer literature development direction. To this, we ought to actively learn from; on the otherhand, we should also see his works have vulgar part in the era environment by the interests ofthe market. To this, we should be vigilant.American scholar Abrams said, each work always involves four coordinates: artist, work,universe and the audience. Therefore, with reference to the basis of predecessors’ theory, thispaper mainly puts it broad consumer culture background, the writer from an era of consumerculture under the mirror works, readers, the audience consumption psychology and so onseveral aspects, using sociological research methods of literature, is back in, in order tounderstand how he transforms from a writer to a profitable trader better based on the literatureplatform. And, for the rationality of its existence and illuminating, the paper studies thecontemporary literary and cultural phenomenon in the society.
