A Study On The Creative Techniques Of Messian 's Twenty Meditation Of The Child - Jesus

Olivier Messiaen is a famous composer, ornithologist and music educator in French in the twentiete century, and he is a contemporary French with the impact of the world music. His creation involves numerous musical genres, beacause he is Catholic, so it have a great influence on the music creation for Messiaen, however the series of Vingt Regards sur1’Enfant-Jesus is representative.The text starting with the creative technique and from the mode of limited transpositions, melody development technique, chord structure and rhythm and other aspects of the use of this work were summarized and combed. On the micro level, local theory of music and compare detailed analysis using the Allen Forte’s pithes-class theory.This text is divided into five parts:the introduction describes the research significance, status and methods. The first chapter is the introduction of the composer’s life and this work. The second chapter introduces the mode of limited transpositions and melody development technique and Messiaen use them in this work. The third chapter introduces the chord structure and rhythm and Messiaen use them in this work. The last chapter is a summary for Messiaen and this work, it describes the musical thought of Messiaen and it influence on later generations.
