Beginning in 2012, Internet companies taking online course as core emerged and obtained the rapid development. MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), a new way of learning in the network era, provides learners with access to knowledge and learning mode. At present, with the improvement of China’s economic development and its international status, "Chinese fever" continues to heat up. The Chinese language receives more attention from the international community. And the world’s surging demand for Chinese language learning in many countries, both developing and developed, have been stimulating Chinese teaching in different forms and at different levels of needs. In recent years, according to foreign demand, China has taken a number of steps, but there is a shortage of Chinese language teachers in many countries of the world, demands for Chinese teachers are great, we also face the challenge, we need to have better information technology to achieve the breakthrough in traditional education. This paper summarizes history development. On preliminary analysis of MOOC, the article introduces main features of MOOC and the development status of international Chinese teaching. It shares a successful case of international Chinese teaching in MOOC platform. Then the paper attempts to explore the ways of massive open online Chinese language course with the expectation to apply MOOC mode in international Chinese teaching.
