Research On Moral Internalization

Moral internalization is a specific issue in the field of moral study, which related to the conversion between the external social morality and Individual inner quality. The discuss abaut moral internalization is necessary under the status quo that the moral is not good. And it is beneficial to individual virtue and social moral ideal. Research value is reflected here. A number of disciplines such as sociology, psychology, pedagogy and ethics, have focused on the issue and related discussion has been proformed widely and thoroughly. In our country, moral internalization theories are enriching and developing in rencent twenty years. But there are some problems, for example, moral internalization concept is not clear, moral internalization mechanism is not syetematic, the restriction factors of moral internalization is not specific. Based on these problems,the discussion about moral internalization need to expand and deepen.In this paper, the issue of moral internalization would be inspected once again by several methods such as comparison method and system science method for a better understanding about moral internalization.The first chapter mainly discussed the concept and the meaning of moral internalization. Moral internalization is usually regarted as a process of transformation from external social morality to individual inner quality. The subject of moral internalization is individual. The ways of moral internalization are the ways with spatial characteristics. The objects of moral internalization Include a lot of contents such as moral cognition,moral emotion. The results of moral internalization are the stable inner belief and behavior patterns. The meanings of moral internalization are mainly embodied in two aspects:individual and society. Moral internalization is not only helpfull to the formation of individual virtue but also beneficial to the formation of moral way of life. The special functions of moral internalization are reflected in the aspect that moral internalization is able to increase the factors of moral consciousness, ensure the quality of individual morality and social morality fundamentally.The second chapter mainly discusses the mecharnsm of moral internalization. The mechanism of moral internalization refers to the causal relationship operation mode of a number of factors in the conversion between the external social morality and Individual inner quality. The mechanism of moral internalization include the psychological mechanism of moral internalization and the culture mechanism of moral internalization. The psychological mechanism of moral internalization also includes two parts:the psychological mechanism of consciousness which emphasis on the functions of rationality,emotion, the will, and psychological schema mechanism which emphasis on the functions of assimilation and hue. Among them, self-awareness mechanism is very important. The effect will be better sepecially as an adult. The culture mechanism of moral internalization mainly include three aspect:social dependence and social interaction,role taking, moral infection. Individual social nature determine the trend of moral internalization. Moral internalization is not only the target to achieve but also the process of objective necessity.The third chapter mainly discusses the implementation issues of moral internalization. People are generalized to realize moral internalization now. But the degree of implementation is far from enough,and moral way of life has not been formed. So the work of promoting moral internalization is necessary. Achievement of the goal mainly depends on the two paths:self-improvement and moral education. The specific methods of self-improvement include learning, evaluating, poor motivation and self-supervision. The specific methods of moral education include model demonstration, value clarification, dialogue, abduction. These methods are rich, but they may not be able to play a fundamental role becouse of the defects of self-awareness, the lack of moral belief,Insufficient of social moral innovation. To promote moral internalization really, more work needs to be done. For exmaple, traditional moral conflict and moral reason to confirm need be solved, and the implementation of the ways of moral internalization need the necessary reasons to support.
