A Study On The Types Of Guanyin Novels In The Ming Dynasty

In the paper, I will use the novels in Ming Dynasty as background to study Guanyin and all kinds of Manifestations. I will illuminate 3 types of the novels on Guanyin in Ming Dynasty by reading: the process of birth and spiritual sermon of Guanyin, the story about helping people in trouble and it is efficacious, and her images. In the paper, I will also illuminate the deeper connotations in the novels. In a word, the faith feature of Guanyin in Ming Dynasty is diversity, inclusion, cultural and rligious nature blend.This paper is divided into 3 parts: introduction, body and conclusion.Introduction: In the part, I will illuminate the present research status of Guanyin, the type of the novels on in Ming Dynasty, the values of faith and research way.Text is divided into 4 parts:Part Ⅰ: Guanyin ’s life experience. As first, I will introduce what people in old ages did for Nanhai Guanyin Biography. Then, I will introduce the story. What’s more, I will analyse the cultural heritage in Nanhai Guanyin Biography. Finally, I will Write a short summary of its unique feature and the influence on later generations.Part Ⅱ: Guanyin’s salvation. First, I will sum up some stories about Guanyin sent a child to people who didn’t have a child, Guanyin helped people in trouble, and it is efficacious. Then, I will analyse Guanyin’s limitless power among buddhas. Finally, I will write something about the comprehension hidden in this kind of works.Part III: Guanyin’s emanation body. First, I will compare Guanyin’s character in the journey to the west with other works about appearance,the integration between the divinity and the human nature. Then, I will talk about the connotation of Guanyin’s images in the journey to the west.Part IV: The characteristic of Guanyin in Ming Dynasty. I will sum up it from diversity, inclusiveness, cultural and religious nature blend.Conclusion: I will sum up all the substance and the main arguments of this paper, put forward textual research point, and point out existing defects.
