A Study On The Use Of Appellation In The Process Of Dalian Urbanization

Terms of address is a language symbol system,which is used to distinguish identity, refer to object and orient character,so as to achieve communicative direction.Chinese kinship address forms is an accurate and complicated lexical system,which has profound historical inheritance.Under the influence of traditional culture,they form unique kinship forms relationship,manifesting the continuity,systematization,stability of vocabulary and grammar,showing up political complexion and culture of color in a certain degree.However,under the background of the era of rapid development of society, the use of address terms is constantly changing.This paper conduct an investigation of current application of address terms in the process of macrocosm urbanization and the language attitude of dialect kinship terms in Dalian in the direction of social linguistics and Chinese lexicology theory.By means of SPSS17.0,the paper comprehensively applies qualitative and quantitative methods,description and analysis ways to describe the current situation and characteristics of the kinship terms in detail,analyze the influence factor and predict the development trend,put forward some suggestions and countermeasures in view of the Dalian dialect kinship address terms.Excluding introduction and conclusion,the paper divides into five parts:The introduction overviews the urbanization and Dalian macrocosm urbanization,reviews the domestic research situation of kinship address terms,presents the research method and relative theory,points out the theoretical and practical significance of this study.The first part mainly introduces the design and implementation of questionnaire,including the choice of subjects,the design of questions,basic procedure and the recycling situation.Native place and current place are the two social factors to choose respondent,including age,gender,education.The questions divide into specific use of kinship address terms,Dalian dialect kinship terms and the language attitude.The second part describes the current situation and characteristics of kinship address terms in Dalian macrocosm urbanization.Through the recycling of 238 valid questionnaires, the author uses the statistical software SPSS17.0 to study the current situation of kinship address terms in Dalian urbanization with the two variables of “native place”and “current place”.The results show that the significant influence is Dalian dialect kinship term with Dalian local characteristics.At the same time,the statistics conclude Dalian kinship terms are affected by mandarin and foreign culture, direct address and indirect address tend to be same, the difference between distance and affinities becomes smaller.The third part mainly investigates the usage of Dalian dialect kinship address terms and variable analysis. Statistical analysed by SPSS17.0 on recycled valid data, gender, age, level of education and the native place all have significant influence on the " using occasions" and "using frequency" of Dalian dialect kinship address terms, common daily life language and current place of residence have significant influence on "using frequency" of Dalian dialect kinship address terms,but the influence on " using occasions" is not significant.The fourth part mainly investigates the language attitudes to the Dalian dialect kinship address terms. In this part,the survey on the language attitudes contain the emotional evaluation of Dalian dialect kin terms and ideas about the present using situation, and do variance analysis on the common social variables. Among them, age and the native place have a significant influence on the attitudes to the Dalian dialect kinship address terms, level of education and common daily life language have influence on it, gender has no influence on it.The fifth part mainly summarizes the reasons of resulting in the current using situation of Dalian dialect kinship address terms,predicts their development trend in the context of the urbanization, and put forward relevant suggestions and countermeasures. The reasons of resulting in the current using situation of Dalian dialect kinship address terms include social reason, psychological reason and language itself,then put forward relevant suggestions and countermeasures.The conclusion summarizes the characteristics of the using of kinship address terms, the using of the Dalian dialect kinship address terms and the attitudes to the Dalian dialect kinship address terms during the global urbanization in dalian, And points out the innovation and deficiency of this study.
