Intertextuality: Crisis And Breakthrough Method Of "Originality" In Postmodern Context

Based on the postmodern context, using intertexuality as critical method, this article investigates the originality of the “parody” of postmodern arts: on one hand,the interactive relationship between visual art text, which is intertextuality, occurs with the occurrence of art, is a basic attribute of art; on the other hand, intertextuality is based on the text itself, it remains space for the explanation for the originality of postmodern arts in three ways: associated attributes of text, text conversing method and text elaborating strategy, through the misappropriation, parody, splice and plagiarism with the texts, the idea of the artists can also be seen. This article tries clarify intertextuality from the perspective of visual arts criticism, and apply it in individual cases. Hope this article can possibly provide another entry poin for the investment of the Chinese contemporary arts.
